Description

T-705 Ribofuranose is a key metabolic intermediate and impurity reference standard in the favipiravir (T-705) pathway. Favipiravir is an antiviral compound that is phosphoribosylated by cellular enzymes to its active triphosphate form (favipiravir-RTP), which selectively inhibits the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase of influenza virus. T-705 Ribofuranose represents an early-stage metabolite in this activation cascade, making it a valuable analytical standard for pharmacokinetic and metabolic studies.
