Description

Adefovir monophosphate is a metabolite of adefovir. An antiviral acyclic nucleoside phosphonate (ANP) analog known as adefovir monophosphate has activity against the herpes, hepatitis B, and human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV). For the treatment of hepatitis B, it is an oral acyclic nucleotide analog reverse transcriptase inhibitor (ntRTI) that inhibits reverse transcriptase.
