Description

Researchers use N6-propargyl adenosine phosphoramidate (pro-N6pA) to identify proteins modified by protein post-translational modification called AMPylation. This approach is particularly useful because pro-N6pA can easily enter cells and gets metabolically activated there, becoming N6pATP, which is then accepted by AMP-transferases to modify proteins. This technique helps to understand the important roles these modifications play in cellular processes.
