Maribavir diphosphate is metabolite of Maribavir, an antiviral drug used to treat post-transplant cytomegalovirus (CMV). Maribavir is a cytomegalovirus pUL97 kinase inhibitor that acts by inhibiting the activity of the human cytomegalovirus enzyme pUL97, halting virus multiplication.
