5-iododeoxycytidine monophosphate is a 2′-deoxycytidine phosphate, or 2′-deoxycytidine-5′-monophosphate, in which iodine replaces the hydrogen at position 5 on the cytosine ring. It’s a 2′-deoxycytidine phosphate and an organoiodine molecule. It is functionally similar to a dCMP.
