Basic role outline
- Synthesize known compounds (from mg to kg quantities) based on literature sources.
- Develop innovative synthetic pathways leading to novel compounds.
- Conduct basic characterizations using NMR, UV/Vis, IR, and mass spectrometry.
- Regularly report progress to the team and clients.
- Manage projects to meet agreed deadlines.
Qualifications, knowledge, and experience required
- PhD in Organic Chemistry, Synthetic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related field.
- Preferably, prior international experience (e.g., internships, post-doc).
- Experience with organic chemistry laboratory work (chromatography, HPLC, inert techniques, etc.).
- Familiarity with LC-MS analysis is desirable.
- Excellent theoretical knowledge of organic chemistry with a problem-solving mindset for industrial applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills and sound written and spoken English.
